Have you seen the new Weezer video? It's pretty sweet. They got a bunch of viral internet stars like the Numa Numa guy, the Mentos - Diet Coke fountains, the Afro Ninja, and even our favourite Chocolate Rain singer - Tay Zonday. If you loved those viral videos...you have to see this one.

4.70 - The One with the fall
Did you catch game one of the Stanley Cup finals last night? My Red Wings handed it to the Pens 4-0. One win down...three to go. The funniest moment came just as the Penguins were coming out of the dressing room for the pre-game and the goalie, Marc Andre Fleury ran out onto the ice and just ate it. His pad caught the door and he faceplanted into the ice. Not a great start for the Pens. Imagine if he got hurt? That would be even more embarrasing. Check out the video:

Also checked out the new Indiana Jones movie yesterday. It was really good for the most part. I won't spoil it, you'll have to watch it for yourself...but it was great to see Harrison Ford put the fedora and whip back on. Next up...The Dark Knight...can't wait

4.67 - The One with the World Tour
Remember when Harmonix released Guitar Hero 1 & 2? It was pretty cool...then the rights were bought up by Activision...and they came out with Guitar Hero 3. So without their flagship title, Harmonix went back to the drawing board and came up with Rock Band...the best multiplayer party game ever. Guitar, bass, drums and a singer? It was amazing! Hold that thought...it's still amazing! So what does Activision do? Announce they are releasing Guitar Hero: World Tour in the fall. Complete with a guitar, bass drums and a microphone...wait a minute...that sounds strangely familiar...
check out the trailer
The drums do look great with the cymbals...if Activision was at all generous, they would let the Rock Band instruments work with Guitar Hero: World Tour...but I have a feeling that they'd rather you buy their kit and have 2 fake drums kits taking up space in your living room. I'm not sure I want to do that...I may have to pass on this...but we'll see...

4.66 - The One with the Japanese version
after a scare by the Dallas Stars...my Detroit Red Wings finally disposed of them in game 6 en route to the Stanley Cup finals to meet up with Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Should be a great series...Sid the kid is probably the best player in the league...I think this is the match up the NHL wanted to see for the finals.
Went to see The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian last night. It was pretty good...much darker than the first film though. I don't remember much from reading the book when I was a kid, but I think that they took a few more liberties with the story than the first movie. I enjoyed it...next movie to see: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Anyone catch SNL this weekend? Steve Carrell was the host and it was hilarious. Check out the Digital Short before NBC pulls it from the internet.

4.61 - The One on Mother's Day
so today is Mother's Day...first Mother's Day that I needed to spend with my mom and my future mother-in-law. I guess this is how it's going to be from now on. Bad thing is...I think I'm sick...pretty sure I was catching a cold over the last couple days but tonight it hit. I hate being sick...
here's a video of the Ron Burgundy-esque prank they pulled on Charles Barkley...
...we love ya Charles...can I be on your Fav5?

4.58 - The One with the hills of snow
The summer movie season has officially been kicked off with this weekends release of Iron Man. I was pretty excited to see this movie and it did not disappoint. I wasn't sure how Jon Favreau (Monica's UFC millionaire boyfriend on Friends) would be as a director, although he did direct Elf and Zathura. He did great and even had a cameo. They also showed the new trailers for Indiana Jones, and The Dark Knight. I can't wait to see those two movies...they look really good.
We were in Montreal this weekend and it's been awhile since I've been in Quebec (Hull doesn't count). Wow can you ever notice the difference between Ontario and Quebec. I don't mean the French everywhere...I mean the road conditions. The 401 is a nice smooth ride throughout until it turns into the #20 highway. It's full of pot holes and it's not so fun to drive on anymore. Oh and the gas prices? OUCH...134.9 per liter.
But I think one of the most incredible things that I saw in Montreal were the huge mounds of dirt that were piled up beside the highway. They were at least a few storeys high, Upon closer inspection we saw some white underneath...it was definitely snow. I knew we had a lot of snow fall this winter...but those mounds...no I'd say hills, show how much they got.

4.56 - The One with the ultimate act of sportsmanship
Western Oregon senior Sara Tucholsky had never hit a home run in her career. She hit a home run to take the lead vs. Central Washington, then tore her ACL rounding the bases. If a player on her team touched her the play would result in an out. Then her opponent said 'Excuse me, would it be OK if we carried her around and she touched each bag?'
