Best quote from this weekend came from my round of golf with Chris and Rick. Picture 18th hole, slight dogleg to the right. Elevated green, 50 yard wide fairway...with a large tree, about 210 yards away, just off the right tree line. Chris tees up and nails the tree. We get up to it and try to find the ball. Some his ball ends up a few yards in front of the tree. I find it and place a pine cone on it to mark his ball. Chris grabs an appropriate wedge from his bag and Rick drives off in the cart to find his ball. I come up behind in my cart and drive over Chris' ball as he is looking out into space.
As I'm waiting for Chris to hit his ball I hear him yell, "HEY! Did you step on my ball?"
"No man..."
"WHAT?!?! That's not possible...it's like sunken into the ground!"
"Nope...didn't step on it..."
"??"
"I drove over it! HAHAHA!!!"
"HAHAHA! Jerk!"
...ahh gotta love golfing with friends...

4.55 - The One with the predictable weather
It's wet, rainy and cold out today...I must be turning another year older. It never fails...it's always this way on my birthday...except for one year it was actually nice and sunny. BUT there's always an exception to every rule right? At least it's not snowing here like some other parts in the country...*cough* Saskatoon *cough*
Although the weather was nice yesterday got a chance to get on the golf course for the first time this year. Didn't do too too bad considering I didn't hit the range at all beforehand. But again, always room for improvement.
Got Mario Kart Wii for my birthday...so far...a pretty solid game. I've been using the wii wheel that it comes with. It's really just a plastic shell that holds your wiimote in place like a steering wheel. It feels pretty good in the hands and it's not flimsy...I'm a fan. One major difference in Mario Kart Wii...you can race on bikes...they're pretty sweet.

3.60 - The One with the Labour Day long weekend
I enjoy long weekends, especially now that I don't have to work any of them. It's a nice break and a great excuse to pack it in with so much to do. Here are some of my highlights:
- Emily came for a visit after spending a year in Sierra Leone. Nice to see her again...
- CNE on Saturday...not as big of a deal as I remembered it was
- the food in the Food Building at the Ex...wow...so much to see and eat
- The Acme Cheese Cake Factory...too much to choose from
- $3 parking a block north of the Ex...too bad for those suckers who paid up the nose for parking downtown Toronto
- flour bombs at the VanEssen Estate...always a good time
- shot a +8 at Shelter Valley Pines...pretty good since I found the adjacent fairways twice
