Is it me? or are long weekends just not long enough? Naomi and I made a turkey dinner for the first time last night. Lots of planning and work went into it and it turned out perfect. Check out the pics...before it was devoured...

4.37 - The One with the facepalm

I don't know if you've been to those new remodeled gas stations with the Red Button that you push in case of a fire. Just remember...it's in case of an emergency...watch Curious George on the right with the stripped shirt.

4.36 - The One with the Epic Fail

I watched No Country for Old Men last night...this year's winner of Picture of the year...I didn't get it.

Sure it was full of imagery and the cinematography was good...but it moved a little slow and when the credits started to roll...I was like...huh? So if someone can enlighten me on why it won Picture of the Year please tell me so I can appreciate this movie the same way the esteemed Academy did.

and this pretty much sums up the Leafs season:

EPIC FAIL

4.35 - The One with the marketing campaign

Have you seen the NEW Diamond Shreddies commercials and the billboards? It's got to be one of the most brilliant marketing campaigns to date. How do you make something old new again? Turn it 45 degrees...

oh...and tonight marks the return of prime time tv after the writers strike...I'm still waiting for the 10th of April to watch The Office.

4.33 - The One with the flashlight

check out this story that was in the Toronto Star last week...a Ryerson student is facing expulsion because he created and participated in a study group on Facebook. They are saying that he was cheating. I'm not sure about you and your study habits, but when I was in school everybody helped everybody. Using Facebook is just a new way to study together...

one more thing...I saw this on Attack of the Show last night...

that's really cool...but completely unnecessary

4.32 - The One with even more snow

I know I posted this comic in December...but this this basically is what summed up my weekend. You should see my driveway...it looks like a fort because of all the snow piled up around it. I heard that there is more snow coming, at least we're supposed to have an entire week without it dumping on us...

I also picked up my copy of Super Smash Brothers Brawl for my Wii. Sweet game...took me awhile to get used to using the wiimote and nunchuck to play. The only complaint is that you can't swing the wiimote around to play...but overall, it's loads of fun. Now to find a chiropractor...

4.31 - The One with the higgeldy piggeldy?

Ever walk and text at the same time? And as you're multitasking...you run into something? Well...you're not alone. There was a study in the UK that 1 in 10 people suffer from injuries while walking and texting. It's such a problem that they're testing out padding on the lamp posts...ya...you read it correctly. Don't believe it? check out this video...

did he really say higgeldy piggeldy?

4.27 - The One with the worst parents in the world

Remeber when you were a kid and you had one thing that you really wanted but never thought you'd get because it was expensive? You'd try to be really good so your parents could get it for you for Christmas? You'd do your chores, go to bed early...even do your homework? And when that fateful day came you'd unwrap all your presents and getting clothes instead? But then your parents would pull out one more present from the magic parent hiding spot and low and behold...it's the very thing you wanted. You'd jump and and down, screaming for joy and yelling "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" You're parents would just sit back and relax, wondering if they made the right choice in buying you such an expensive present when they know that you'd go back to your mischevious ways in a few days...but in those few days you're parents are the best parents in the world.

Then I came across this on Engadget...

Young Jonathan is pretty exciting on Christmas morning when he unwraps a rather larget present that turns out to be an XBox 360! (You're thinking to yourself...what's so bad about that? Well let me finish...) As he opens the box he discovers that there is no XBox inside...instead he got some lame blue and grey fleece clothes. The family thinks it's so funny and laughs hysterically at this poor kid. Doesn't help that his idiot older brother is filming and was obviously in on it saying, "we can't afford an XBox!" What kind of sick joke was that? I would have flipped...

The video of this was uploaded by his brother who claims that Jonathan sneaked a peak at his Christmas presents so they took the console out of the box to teach him a lesson. His brother also claims that there's another video that shows Jonathan getting his XBox later...but his brother has failed to post it.

Since the posting on Engadget, they've been flooded with e-mails, even from Microsoft wanting to help out Jonathan. His family admitted that he never did get an XBox, they just wanted to punk the kid. In the end...he'll get his XBox 360...I hope that he doesn't let is stupid family play...

I feel sorry for the young one...just remember...what goes around, comes around...
